NORWOOD — April 8, 2026 — Norwood School Committee seats two new members and votes unanimously on job descriptions, student policies, and a $5,000 school donation at its April 8 meeting. Chair Hilts welcomed Ben Moser and Michael Schengling following Monday's election, calling it the first two-seat turnover in several cycles and noting that 40 percent of the five-member board has changed. Facilities Director Christopher Fallon disclosed a groundwater-related sinkhole on the south end of the Coakley Middle School turf field that will delay the field's opening at least one to two weeks, telling the committee, "It's got to be right — we cannot open that up again."
