Planning Board endorses Black Horse Lane land swap
Planning Board · Meeting of July 7, 2026
Cohasset Planning Board endorses four-parcel land swap to clear a pool permit snag. Chair Clark Brewer led a 4-0 roll-call vote endorsing an Approval Not Required plan exchanging parcels among 66, 70 and 74 Black Horse Lane, after Morse Engineering's Jason Scott explained the swap was needed to move a proposed pool out of a side-yard setback. Vice Chair Kevin Heine flagged that the new boundaries "lose simple lines," creating nonlinear property edges future owners must track.
Clerk Birgit Schmidt-Wesche pressed for detail on where the pool would sit before backing the plan, calling Scott's explanation "a good explanation." The board also approved its June 3 minutes 4-0 and debated, without a vote, whether to seek monthly building-permit lists from Building Inspector John Hallin to better track ledge-removal bylaw enforcement townwide.
